I was asked to cover 2 shopping trolleys for a client; it was for a in-store promotion, and needed to be covered in a way to be easily assembled by shop promoters.
It was such a great opportunity to figure out how to cover such an underrated (and truly South African icon?) yet surprisingly complex shape, I did feel a slight pang of guilt that it wouldn’t get to roam the city streets.
Covered in bright red, the trolley looked wild and crazy. I secretly hope that they escape one night with their red superhero suits and have a Ferris Bueller kinda day out.
Let me know if you spot them – they are so ready for some winter shopping.
Special thanks to Kellogg’s and 34.com for the wonderful opportunity.
